Serendipitous Lockdown

Lockdowns imposed around the world are a boon and a bane
depending on whether one is a glass-half-full or half-empty person.

I too am stuck at home due to the lockdown and I go through
moments of frustration too, for not being able to go out and make the most of my stay in India. It is also a joy though, as it has given me ample time to set up my house that was rented out earlier. That meant opening up various cartons filled with surprises and the joy of finding items whose existence had been long forgotten. I like opening up boxes in general, old and new alike..  think I like new experiences, new things, the scent they carry and the novelty of it. Well, even though the boxes I am opening now are old, covered with dust and musty, they still offered novelty through their forgotten familiarity.

Found a couple of diaries in this pandora's box, the ones I had maintained during school and through college. It was a random collection of sayings, wise words, poems and extracts from books. Reading these again warmed my heart no end and I got lost in them for the next few days.! It gave me a fresh insight into who I was, who I am and who I can be ! Was a nice reminder and a gentle nudge at the same time.

To continue my old, but good, habit of penning down my thoughts and (hopefully-sounding-not-too-pompous) preserve my legacy (LOL)..I decided to reopen my blog and create an online diary.
Someday, someone is going to find the old, even more mustier diaries, whether hard-bound or online and get a glimpse of an unknown aspect of a person they knew !
