Answers to queries about IIMK's EMEP

Hi, I am still alive. I thought it was my duty to respond to the couple of queries I have received regarding the EMEP program
offered by IIM Kozhikode (Calicut).
1. Duration of the course : Its a one year course. (I guess they have increased the number of hours for this course this year)
2. Nature of the course : is part time. We have classes twice a week (this year on thrice a week i guess) - from 6:30pm to 9:30 pm
3. Quality of the course : depends on you. They deliver as much they can and based on the response received from the audience.
4. Placement : NO. This is an executive course and hence there is no placement provided.
5. ROI on course : In the corporate world - unless you market your skills/self you will not get anything. So obviously, you will have
to fight for the role/position you want based on this certificate. I checked with a couple of friends in HR in other companies -
they told me, very sadly, that it does not have great market value. So you should check why you want to do this course !!!
6. Work-life balance : You will have to forget your personal life for some time when you enrol. There are a lot of quizzes,
assignments, reports, exams that you will have to prepare and appear for. So you will have to forget your frequent weekend
getaways for a year. I am waiting to get my life back from October :o))
